The largest school district in the nation, LAUSD has launched an unprecedented new construction and refurbishment program with the goal of providing the highest quality facilities for all students. At $15.2 billion, the Facilities Services Division of LAUSD is conducting the largest public school construction and repair program in America's history. LAUSD is transforming the city's schools and adding nearly 200,000 new classroom seats. When complete, the construction and modernization program will have delivered more than 16,500 repairs, 160 new schools, and more than 80 additions to existing schools.
